New Birdhouses on the course!

If you recall, back in April we held our first ever STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Math) Field Trip for the 4th graders of Palmetto Elementary. It was a fun filled day for the students and all the staff and volunteers. Building a birdhouse was one of the many activities the kids participated in during their day here at UPCC. We are happy to announce we have installed three of the houses on the golf course. These birdhouses are designed for Blue Birds! In addition, we installed rain gauges on the back of the post of the birdhouses. We are hoping to get a more accurate rain reading for the overall golf course. See if you can locate the new birdhouses on the course! They are placed on holes 2, 17, & 22.

Finally, we would like to share a bird app with you that we have been using on the golf course. 

Have you ever been out on the course and hear a bird and wonder 'What type of bird is that?' 

Merlin Bird ID is the app you need! This app has the ability to identify bird calls and the app is easy to use. Below is an image of what the Merlin Bird ID app looks like!
