 Updates from around the club:

2024 Practice Area Update & Renovation

Short Game Practice Area as designed.

As we embark on this exciting project, we want to share with you our vision and what we hope to accomplish with this renovation.

At University Park Country Club, we are committed to providing our members with top-notch facilities that enhance your golfing experience. To that end we acknowledge the current short game practice area falls short of that goal.  While it wasn’t a part of the original design of the club range area, it was added over the years as player demand required it. We recognized how vital a component of our club it is and that it needed work. With this renovation, our primary goal is to take your practice sessions to new heights and provide an unrivaled golfing experience. With the direction and help from the Golf Advisory Group we feel the new practice area will address many of the shortcomings and issues with the current area.

Here's what we hope to accomplish with the golf short game practice area renovation:

1. Elevate Skill Development: Our renovated practice area will offer state-of-the-art features to help you elevate your skill development. We aim to create an environment that allows you to practice every aspect of your short game with precision and accuracy. From chipping greens that simulate real course conditions to challenging chipping zones and an enhanced bunker complex, we want to provide you with the tools to refine your technique and enhance your performance on the course.

2. Improve Practice Efficiency: We understand that your time is valuable, and we want to ensure that your practice sessions are efficient and effective. The renovated practice area will be thoughtfully designed to optimize your practice time, allowing you to focus on specific areas of your short game that require improvement. With a variety of practice zones and updated facilities, we aim to create a seamless and productive practice experience.

3. Enhance Enjoyment and Engagement: Golf is not just a sport; it's a passion that brings joy and fulfillment to our lives. With the renovation, we aim to create a practice area that not only helps you improve your skills but also enhances your enjoyment and engagement with the game. We want you to look forward to each practice session and experience a sense of accomplishment as you see your skills progress.

4. Foster a Sense of Club Community: University Park County Club is more than just a golf club; it's a vibrant community and the renovated practice area can serve as a gathering place where members can connect, share tips, and engage in friendly competition. We believe that the new facilities will foster a stronger sense of community and camaraderie among our members.

We are confident that the golf short game practice area renovation will elevate your golfing experience and contribute to your overall enjoyment of the sport. We are dedicated to creating a facility that meets your needs and exceeds your expectations.

Throughout the renovation process, we will keep you informed about the progress and any temporary adjustments to practice arrangements. Your understanding and support during this time are greatly appreciated.

We look forward to unveiling the renovated golf short game practice area and witnessing the positive impact it will have on your golfing journey.
