Below you will find a series of quick videos recapping some of the work being done around the club.
Croquet Canopy:
We have received several questions asking why it is taking so long to complete such an easy project. Below you will see some of the work behind the scenes that it takes to complete what some might think is a quick and easy project. We reused the old bricks so it would match the rest and took some work to make them fit.
Back 9 Bunkers:
Last week the contractor wrapped up the work on the bunkers. While the agronomy team gets the turf grown in and ready for play, we have our concrete contractor out making repairs of some of the worst sections of cart paths. I would suggest that cart path repair work will likely take place each summer.
DryJect Back 9 Greens:
In an effort to prolong the life of our greens we have employed several different cultural practices recently. You may recall from a previous video were we used a technique process is similar but different, it too places sand directly into the green profile but it uses high pressure water to place the sand into the channel rather than the drill bit used by the drill & fill process. Both are fantastic additions to our normal cultural practices.
Future projects:
Next summer we hope to start an in-house fairway bunker renovation program. We will remove the sand, re-establish the edges, install new drainage and finally new sand. The video below shows some of the issues with our existing fairway bunkers.
